A | Only Companies registered in India under the Companies Act, 1956/2013 shall be eligible for bidding and obtaining permission for FM Radio channels as per the policy and guidelines of MIB. |

A | It will happen through an ascending e-auction process, on the lines followed by Department of Telecommunications in the auction of 3G/4G. |

Q | Can existing license holder bid at the auction? | ||
A | Yes.

Q | What is the permission period under FM Phase-III Policy? | ||
A | The Permission shall be valid for a period of fifteen (15) years from the date of operationalization of the Channel or the expiry of the time limit for operationalization. |

Q | Do we have to pay any Earnest Money Deposit along with the application for pre-qualification? | ||
A | Prospective bidders for a channel shall be required to deposit Earnest Money , along with the application for pre-qualification, in the form of a Bank Guarantee from a Scheduled Bank (as per the format specified by the Ministry) which shall be 25% of the reserve price of that city per channel. |

Q | Any other fees needs to be paid along with the application? | ||
A | The applicant shall pay a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 50,000/- through electronic mode (Credit Card/ Debit Card / Net Banking / RTGS /NEFT / IMPS) in the Bharatkosh in favour of Pay and Account Office (Main Secretariat, MS), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi -110 001. |
